Our Client: Is an integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector. They have over 1,400 staff working across eight regional centres, primarily supporting six long term water sector frameworks operating both on their own and increasingly in joint ventures and alliances. They have been awarded a 10-year programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for Southern Water.
The Role: A pivotal role within the framework with responsibility for assessing the technical elements of proposed water or wastewater treatment designs, with particular emphasis on their commercial viability and identification of risks involved with each design solution. Must be prepared to challenge technical and commercial proposals with the capability to offer solutions. You will report directly to the Head of Technical Management and you will be responsible for programme level technical governance on water projects from initial definition of need through optioneering, solution development, detail design and construction support. This a role which would appeal to Design Managers, Technical Managers or Engineering Managers who possess excellent commercial and risk assessment skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assurance across teams of design managers and discipline design engineers in the development of water and wastewater technical solutions from initial need statement through optioneering, solution development, value engineering, detail design and construction support.
- Ensure affordable design solutions are developed within project budget and solution risk is appropriately managed and communicated throughout the solution development process.
Experience:

- Experience of technical project delivery in a design and build environment
- Experience in the Water or Wastewater Treatment Industry
- Degree in an engineering-related discipline
- Must be delivery-driven, able to set targets, with the ability to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives
