Our client is a leading UK-based renewable energy company specializing in the production of biomethane through anaerobic digestion. By partnering closely with local farmers, they convert agricultural and organic waste into clean, green energy while generating valuable by-products such as nutrient-rich bio-fertiliser and high-purity green CO2. This closed-loop approach supports sustainable agriculture, drives rural economic development, and advances the circular economy.

They are recruiting for a Site Operations Manager for one of their gas injection hubs and responsibilities will include:

  • Responsibility for meeting budgetary requirements and implementing an OpEx budget for the site.
  • Daily operations will include the monitoring and recording of key performance indicators on site and flagging issues to maintain production, including the use of the company's CMMS system.
  • The injection hub will be operating 24/7 (remotely out of hours) and accepting deliveries up to 12 times per day. During your shift, you will be in close communications with the logistics provider and the feeder sites to plan deliveries into the hub.
  • You will be responsible for the performance of the site, which includes being able to receive calls and solve issues outside of regular working hours.
  • The Banbury injection hub employs multiple, high value, assets that are covered by third parties under stringent Service Level Agreements. It will be your responsibility to manage these contractors to ensure that contractual obligations are met.
  • You will also be expected to travel (potentially spend nights away) for training on other sites from time to time. In this case, your travel and accommodation will be provided.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous mechanical/electrical experience with a strong H&S acumen (Good understanding of risk assessing, control of permits to work and creation of RAMS).
  • Experience in the gas industry or similar high-risk environments is preferred.
  • Experience of Gas Entry Units (GEO) or gas injection hubs would be very beneficial.
  • Good people skills and organisation are also required, with the ability to arrange contractors and gas delivery logistics.
  • Experience working with CMMS systems is preferred.
  • Applicants must be situated within a 45-minute travel time of site to accommodate the emergency on call.
