What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement proactive planning strategies that align with Lanesgroup's operational goals and objectives.
  • Analyze data and operational metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and customer service, to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Manage resource allocation, ensuring that personnel and materials are utilized effectively across various projects.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress and adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct regular reviews of operational processes, recommending enhancements to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Facilitate communication between teams to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of project developments and changes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on operational performance, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and programs to enhance team capabilities and knowledge.
  • Monitor compliance with industry regulations and company policies, ensuring that all operations adhere to safety and quality standards.
  • Support the procurement process by identifying and sourcing necessary materials and services to meet operational needs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in operations planning or a related field, preferably within the construction or utilities sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to the industry is highly desirable.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Previous experience in a customer‑facing role, enhancing your understanding of client needs and expectations.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) would be advantageous.

Skills & tools

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, to present operational metrics effectively.
  • Experience with ERP systems to manage resources and track project progress.
  • Ability to work with various software applications relevant to operations management.
