We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network for the next five years and beyond!

We are currently recruiting a Reinstatement Operative to join our team in Yorkshire.

You will be working in a team of highly skilled Operatives to carry out replacing manhole frames and covers efficiently throughout Malton Area.

About the role

  • Location: Bradford, Yorkshire.
  • Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm with a paid lunch). Overtime also available at time and a half.
  • Salary: To be discussed.
  • Weekly pay.

Responsibilities

  • Replace manhole frames and covers efficiently, excavate by hand, replace gullies with precision and care. Complete all types of reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.).
  • Carry out site‑specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team members and site supervisor.
  • Ensure on‑ and off‑sites are live to avoid penalties with highway permits.
  • Update and complete site documentation using electronic tablet.
  • Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks.
  • Record photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed.
  • Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Ensure highway compliance with reinstatement to avoid defects.
  • Be able to read and understand drainage plans.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Full UK driving license (required).
  • Training will be NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, Slinger and Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, Calm Water, EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny, EUSR Water, Face Fit Tested – FFP3.
