In this role you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of our transportation fleet, focusing on maintenance planning, regulatory adherence, and safety protocol implementation.
Position: Transport and Compliance Manager
Location: Millbrook Depot (Southampton, Hampshire)
Job Type: permanent, full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Salary: £36,000 to £42,500 depending upon experience

About the Role:
Due to continued growth and development, we are looking for a Transport and Compliance Manager to join our Transport Division, delivering real and effective solutions with our fleet of vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for the transportation fleet.
- Collaborate with in-house maintenance teams and external service providers to ensure timely and efficient repairs and inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, schedules and costs.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Stay abreast of UK transportation regulations and standards, ensuring compliance with local, national and industry-specific laws.
- Conduct regular audits to verify safety and environmental compliance.
- Work with authorities and agencies to address compliance issues and stay informed about updates.
- Safety Protocols
- Implement and enforce robust safety protocols to minimise accidents and protect transportation personnel.
- Provide training to drivers and staff on safety procedures and compliance requirements.
- Investigate and report any incidents, taking corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Working with Key Stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective communication and alignment of objectives.
- Engage with regulatory bodies, suppliers and clients to address concerns and foster positive relationships.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain records of vehicle inspections, maintenance and compliance activities.
- Generate reports for management highlighting KPIs related to maintenance and compliance.
- Vendor Management
- Coordinate with external vendors for vehicle maintenance and compliance services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality standards.

About You

A full UK driving licence is crucial to the role.
