About The Role

The Lanes Group needs a Van Pack Engineer to join our Operational Team in Leeds, working within a well-established team that is looking to expand further with another strong member of staff.

  • Location: Leeds
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week
  • Salary: up to £16 per hour depending on experience

As a Van Pack Operator, You Will Be:

  • Attending to customers, informing them of works due to be carried out and answering any concerns
  • Inspecting drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow
  • Reporting all findings/data to the appropriate teams
  • Assisting with all aspects of high-pressure water jetting
  • Operating high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems
  • Adjusting pressure levels based on the condition of the system and the nature of the blockage (e.g., grease, debris, or tree roots)
  • Using the equipment to remove waste materials and prevent build-up in drains and sewer lines
  • Being competent in using an electronic device - laptop/tablet for data entry purposes
  • Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
  • Performing routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order
  • Assisting with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Full UK driving license (Required) with no more than 6 points
  • Water Jetting Association Red or blue book
  • Banksman
  • Manual Handling
  • Emergency First Aid
  • NRSWA
  • EUSR National Water Hygiene
  • Medium risk confined space
