The Lanes Group are looking for an experienced plumber to boost the team and manage our increased workload in and around the Rainham area.
The Job
Working under the Reactive Works Manager you will be responsible for carrying out urgent repairs to plumbing & drainage systems mainly on London Underground and TfL Sites. You will need to be prepared to undergo training in core skills and obtain a Sentinel railway Industry Common Induction (ICI). You will be qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in plumbing services with an accredited NVQ training establishment and hold recognised certification. You should also be prepared to assist our drainage teams on rodding & jetting where additional assistance is required.
Night Plumber 7pm – 7am (shifts may vary)
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking high quality repairs in a safe manner complying with all requirements of Lanes Group plc, Statutory Legislation and TfL.
- Liaising with the Lanes Call Centre reporting on progress and reporting on completed works.
- Adopt a flexible approach to work, undertaking and promoting work within a Multi Trade environment to avoid duplication and follow on work being passed to other front line staff or supporting specialist contractors.
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times, behaving in a respectful, courteous and polite manner to internal and external customers.
- Responsible for your own health and safety and the safety of others as indicated in the company Health and Safety Policy. This will include complying with safe methods of work, use equipment safely, and contribute to risk assessments, use of PPE and reporting of incidents and accidents.
- Attend Lanes Group plc safety briefings and participate in safety demonstrations in the Lanes Rail yard at Rainham in Essex.
