About the Role

We are looking for HGV Class 1 & 2 drivers to work on a full‑time basis for days on our waste water contract. Driving a vacuum tanker, the work incorporates tankering various non‑hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the region. You will be provided with a phone and an app to outline the jobs that have been assigned to you by the Operations Supervisor.

You will need a full HGV Class 1 or Class 2 UK driver’s licence with CPC and a up‑to‑date tachograph card.

Hours & Salary

Hours: 4 nights on, 4 nights off. Schedule: 6 pm – 6 am, 40.25 hours averaged over an 8‑week period.

Salary: £17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Operate HGV‑mounted vacuum and tankers for drainage and waste management tasks.
  • Independently manage job sites, ensuring safe practices and high‑quality work.
  • Communicate professionally with customers.
  • Accurately complete job reports and system updates.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting any faults promptly.
  • Maintain high health and safety standards, including proper PPE use and regulatory compliance.

Experience and Qualifications

  • HGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence.
  • Valid in‑date CPC and up‑to‑date tachograph card.
