The
Role: We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team in Washington.
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of operational activities, ensuring teams, vehicles, equipment and resources are managed efficiently, safely and in line with company standards.
You will provide strong leadership to operational teams, driving productivity, compliance and service delivery while maintaining a safe and positive working environment.
Responsibilities
Staff Management
- Ensuring operational teams are completing work in a timely and safe manner.
- Booking and keeping records of staff training.
- Planning and monitoring on staff workload & scheduling .
- Timesheet, absence, and holiday management. Depot Manager
- Conducting toolbox talks, inductions and stand down meetings as required.
Fleet / Equipment Management
- Ensuring all company vehicles are kept and maintained to company standards.
- Ensuring all fleet are serviced and MOTs covered as required.
- Liasing with the transport department to ensure all procedures/policies are adhered to.
- Calibration of tools
- Making sure all equipment is fit for daily use ensuring the correct equipment is allocated
- Ensure stock Audits are carried out regularly .
Health and Safety
- Ensuring all equipment is used correctly and all work carried out safely and efficiently.
- Conducting regular Health and Safety audits
- Ensure compliance on and off site with involvement of the H&S management team.
- Arranging PAT testing Fire Extinguisher servicing and secondary checks .
Due to the nature of the role successful applicants will be expected to participate in the On Call Rota as well as an understanding that flexibility is required surrounding work hours.
About you
- Previous Management/Supervisory experience
- Full UK Driving license – no more than 6 penalty points
- Excellent IT Skills with the ability to use all Microsoft Programs
- Excellent Organisational and planning skills
- Experience in ensuring maximum productivity and optimum asset usage.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety.
