We are delighted to announce a major new contract win with Welsh Water, supporting them over the next four years and beyond, delivering proactive and reactive maintenance of their Wastewater Network. We’re expanding! Following a recent contract win, Lanes Group is recruiting Van Pack Operatives across North & Central Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team delivering industry‑leading drainage solutions while supporting one of our most exciting clients and contributing to AMP8 objectives. About the Role

  • Salary: £12.71 - £13 per hour depending on experience
  • Working hours: 45 hours per week, with on call duties
  • Location: Kimnel Bay

Responsibilities

As a Van Pack Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our operational delivery, supporting the maintenance and repair of wastewater networks. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Interaction
    • Attending customer locations and communicating planned works
    • Answering questions and providing reassurance on site
  • Drainage Operations
    • Inspecting drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or structural issues
    • Operating high‑pressure water jetting equipment to clear and clean drainage systems
    • Adjusting pressure levels based on blockage type (e.g., grease, debris, roots)
    • Assisting with CCTV surveys when required
    • Reporting all findings/data accurately back to operational teams
  • Data & Safety
    • Completing digital data entry using a laptop or tablet
    • Reporting safety issues in line with company procedures
    • Performing routine checks and maintenance of jetting equipment

This role involves outdoor work, problem‑solving, and teamwork — perfect for someone who enjoys varied days and working in the field.

Experience & Qualifications (Desirable but not essential unless stated)
