About The Role
As a part of the Stores Team based at our Head Office in Bamber Bridge, you will be helping to provide support to the various Work Teams operating out of a busy yard.
You will need to have a great work ethic, problem solving skills and be able to work independently or with Team members to meet daily deadlines.
You may need to work outside in the yard area as well as inside the warehouse, and you may be asked to travel to different sites therefore a driving licence is essential.
For the right candidate, there will be an opportunity to gain fork truck and telehandler licence.
Location: Bamber Bridge, Preston
Hours of work: 47.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm with an unpaid 30 minute break.
Salary: £30,158 per annum.
Responsibilities To Include – But Not Limited To
- Competent in using hand held device to receive requests and preparing job packs for collection by Teams.
- Accepting deliveries and reporting any supplier discrepancies.
- Hands on – manually handling materials and ensuring they are stored correctly.
- Regular stock counts of materials.
- Create requests for orders to be raised for stock replenishment.
- Excellent housekeeping, whilst adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with Company procedures.
Experience And Qualifications Required For The Role
- Experience in working in a stores environment or similar for example warehouse
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Competent in IT, accurate data entry
- Team player
- Ability to work to deadlines, and be reactive to the business needs
