Job Description
About the Role
We are looking to appoint a Jet Vac Assistant to join our
Stockon-on-Tees Depot.
Working as part of a two person teams, you will be responsible for attending drainage related issues such as blockages, pipe clearing, cleansing and reactive call outs.
- Location: Stockton-on-Tees
- Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
- Salary: £13 - £14 per hour dependant on experience

Responsibilities
- Operate machinery
- Ensure all H&S requirements are followed
- Communicate with customers about scheduled works and address any concerns.
- Assist in identifying drainage issues, including blockages, structural defects, infiltration, and root ingress.
- Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear drains, sewers, and pipework.
- Remove waste materials and prevent build-up in wastewater systems.
- Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure readiness.
- Support CCTV inspections to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
- Assist in emergency response situations, including flooding and urgent drainage issues.
- Learn to complete job sheets, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) under supervision.
