The Streetworks Manager's purpose is the administration of all Streetwork permits and notices related to Metering, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) and the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA). The role involves a particular focus on coordination of work with our planning and scheduling teams to enable operational delivery in compliance with relevant legislation.
About the Role:
- Manage the co-ordination of Street Works throughout the Thames Water Contract, liaising with Statutory Undertakers, County Divisions, Agents, Emergency Services, etc.
- Facilitate and broker solutions to network occupancy conflicts, making unilateral decisions where necessary.
- Supervise the use of and operate the Street Works Register to manage the planning of works and events organised on the highway.
- Lead the development and continuing application of policies, systems, processes, standards, and QA mechanisms for the management and control of penalties for failure to meet the requirements of appropriate legislation.
- Assess applications for and issue licences where appropriate for skips, scaffolds, hoardings, oversails, banners over the highway, and any other future related issues.
- Perform any other reasonable ad-hoc tasks, duties, or projects requested by management.
- Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.
