Position: Senior Transport and Compliance Manager
Location: Goddards Green, West Sussex (you will be required to travel across the South of the UK)
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Salary: £48,000 - £52,000, subject to experience plus a company vehicle, fuel card.

About the Role:
Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for a Senior Transport and Compliance Manager to manage a team of Transport Managers, working to deliver real and effective solutions with our fleet of vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Maintenance: Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for the transportation fleet. Collaborate with in-house maintenance teams and external service providers to ensure timely and efficient repairs and inspections. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including schedules and associated costs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of UK transportation regulations and standards, ensuring compliance with local, national, and industry-specific laws. Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Work closely with relevant authorities and agencies to address compliance issues and stay informed about updates.
- Safety Protocols: Implement and enforce robust safety protocols to minimize accidents and ensure the well-being of our transportation personnel. Provide comprehensive training to drivers and other staff on safety procedures and compliance requirements. Investigate and promptly report any accidents or incidents, taking corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Working with Key Stakeholders: Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to ensure seamless communication and alignment of objectives. Engage with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and clients to address concerns, provide updates, and foster positive relationships.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and compliance activities. Generate reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators related to maintenance and compliance.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate effectively with external vendors for vehicle maintenance and compliance services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maintaining high-quality standards.

About You: The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Having previous experience with maintenance software and record-keeping systems is beneficial. A full UK driver’s licence is crucial to the role.
