We are recruiting for a Drainage Engineer to work in a 2 person team covering the Isle of Wight.

Responsibilities

  • Travelling to residential sites in a two-person team, using high-pressure water jetting equipment to restore drainage systems.
  • Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems.
  • Record each job on the specialist equipment provided.
  • Run diagnostics and repairs on drains.
  • Deliver high standards of customer service.
  • Maintain safe working practices and follow health and safety procedures.
  • Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
  • Comply with health and safety responsibilities (PPE, safe site set-ups).
  • Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.
  • Liaise with the client regarding progress and updates.
  • Work unsupervised in all weather conditions with appropriate PPE and lone worker systems.
  • Assess site access and working conditions and adjust risk assessments accordingly.
  • Provide support to colleagues and conduct thorough inspections of tools and equipment before/after use.
  • Report defects or malfunctions and carry out risk assessments with a mature approach to risk perception.
  • Be aware of Lanes Group policies and responsibilities.
  • Undertake any other reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by management.

Salary

£33,000 per annum (salary structure includes basic pay and overtime)

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate will be hard-working and compliant with health and safety standards.

Experience with High Pressure Jetting equipment is useful but not essential.

Other drainage qualifications (e. g., NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are advantageous.

Full training provided.
