Sapphire Utility Solutions are seeking a Stores and Yard Manager to be based in Leyland to oversee our North West Operations. You may need to work outside in the yard area as well as inside the warehouse, and you may be asked to travel to different sites; therefore, a driving licence is essential. For the right candidate, there will be an opportunity to gain fork truck and telehandler licence if not already held.
Job Details
- Location: Leyland based (travel to other sites within the North West)
- Hours of work: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Salary: £55,000 per annum
Responsibilities
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Inventory management
- Stock control
- Supplier coordination
- Record keeping
- Security management
- Competent in using hand-held device to receive requests and preparing job packs for collection by Teams
- Accepting deliveries and reporting any supplier discrepancies
- Hands on – manually handling materials and ensuring they are stored correctly
- Regular stock counts of materials
- Create requests for orders to be raised for stock replenishment
- Excellent housekeeping, whilst adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
- Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with Company procedures
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence required
- FLT licence desirable
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Competent in IT, accurate data entry
- Team player
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work to deadlines, and be reactive to the business needs
