Sapphire Utility Solutions are looking for a CAD Operator to work with the Traffic Management department overseeing the UK, based in Leyland due to a new contract win with Welsh Water. As the Traffic Management CAD Technician, you will produce Traffic Management CAD Drawings for various TM scenarios. High standards must be maintained on each drawing to meet client and council specific requirements. The role does not require prior experience, but a desire to build a career in the field and enthusiasm to gain further knowledge and training is a must. Previous CAD experience is advantageous but not required.

Location: Leyland, Lancashire

Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Produce Traffic Management drawings, utilising Bricscad along with Cone software for Traffic Management scenarios such as: Give and Take, Priority System, Stop/Go boards, Portable Traffic Signals, Convoy Working, Road Closures, Diversions and Lane Closures for submission to clients and local authorities.
  • Liaise with Operations Managers, Depot Managers, Agents and Client planners to give progress updates.
  • Show awareness of timescales for required works and ensure client specific SLAs are met.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients to keep them up to date with progress.
  • Be organised to meet strict SLAs for each client.
  • Work well both in a team and on your own initiative.

Experience And Qualifications:

  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • Previous CAD experience is advantageous.
  • Familiar with Chapter 8 and Streetworks code of practice.
  • Good IT Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of TTM specs.
