About the Role
- Location: Manchester
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week
- Salary: up to ÂŁ13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities
- Attend to customers, informing them of works due to be carried out and answering any concerns
- Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or damage that could hinder water flow
- Report all findings/data to the appropriate teams
- Assist with all aspects of high‑pressure water jetting
- Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes and other wastewater systems
- Adjust pressure levels based on the condition of the system and the nature of the blockage (e.g. grease, debris or tree roots)
- Use the equipment to remove waste materials and prevent build‑up in drains and sewer lines
- Use an electronic device – laptop/tablet – for data entry purposes
- Ensure safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high‑pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order
- Assist with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers
