About The Role
We are seeking a HGV Waste Water Operative to join our team to work alongside a United Utilities Customer Support Technician, where you will be required to work on the Bucket 1 reactive contract solving problems on the sewer network.
Hours: 42.5 hours per week. This role will be on a shift-based pattern with working times of 8am to 6pm front shift and 12pm to 10pm back shift. Weekends and Bank Holidays are included.
Salary: Β£33,326-Β£37,525 per annum depending on experience and tickets. Overtime rates are paid at X1.5.
Responsibilities - But Not Limited To
- You will be working closely with a CST (UU Operative) to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities.
- Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns as well as timescales.
- Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
- Carry out all aspects of high pressure water jetting.
- Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
- Carry out CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
- Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes.
- Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
Requirements For The Role
- HGV Class 2 licence (required).
- Drivers licence is mandatory with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Desirable: Experience with working with JHL City Flexβs, or training is provided.
- Experience of High Pressure Jetting would be advantageous β however training would be provided.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Competent in IT, accurate data entry.
- Team player.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
