About The Role
The role available will be working from our Carlisle site alongside a United Utilities customer support Technician, where you will be required to work on the Bucket 1 reactive contract solving problems on the sewer network. This role will be on a shift-based pattern with working times of 8am to 6pm front shift and 12pm to 10pm back shift. Weekends and Bank Holidays are included.
Location: Carlisle
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Salary: £33,326-£37,525 per annum (depending on experience). Overtime rates are offered for weekday, weekend and Bank Holiday work at X1.5.
You will be working closely with a CST (UU Operative) to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities. Responsibilities include:
- Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns as well as timescales.
- Inspecting drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
- Carrying out all aspects of high-pressure water jetting.
- Operating high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
- Carrying out CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
- Being competent in using an electronic device - laptop/tablet for data entry purposes.
- Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures.
- Performing routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
