We are looking for an Employee Relationship Specialist to work within our Head Office in Leeds alongside the HR Service Centre Administrators and the wider HR team in various locations in the UK.
Location: Leeds
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 Hours per week. (Hybrid)
Salary: c£32k – £35k
Responsibilities – but not limited to:
Employee Relations & Support :
· Offer comprehensive HR support on employee relations issues, including absence, disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management.
· Travel to different business sites to provide in-person guidance and resolve employee relations matters, building rapport and understanding the unique challenges of each location.
· Act as a mediator in conflicts, facilitating resolutions that align with both employee and business interests.
Performance Management :
· Coach managers on handling performance-related matters, providing on-site support as needed to tailor development plans and set objectives.
· Support the design, implementation, and ongoing management of performance appraisal processes across all sites.
Policy Development & Compliance :
· Contribute to the development, review, and local implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring that they remain current and aligned with UK employment law.
· Ensure on-site HR practices comply with employment laws, assisting with the rollout of any policy updates across different locations.
Data Management & Reporting :
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records across sites, ensuring data integrity in the HRIS.
· Prepare and analyse HR reports to provide insights for decision-making and improvement initiatives.
· Share findings and insights on a location-specific basis to drive targeted improvements.
Project & Initiative Support :
· Participate in or lead HR projects and initiatives, focusing on company-wide objectives while tailoring approaches for specific locations.
· Provide support during change management initiatives across sites, helping employees and managers understand the impact of changes on their roles and locations.

· Confidentiality & Professionalism : Maintain a high level of confidentiality, particularly when handling sensitive employee relations matters across sites.
· Interpersonal Skills : Strong ability to build trust and rapport with employees and managers at various locations.
· Adaptability : Ability to adapt HR practices and communication style to meet the unique needs of each location.
· Organisational Skills : Efficiently manage travel, schedules, and priorities across sites while maintaining accurate records and supporting ongoing HR initiatives.
· Teamwork & Independence : Work effectively as part of the HR team and independently in different settings, demonstrating proactive problem-solving and initiative.
Experience and qualifications required for the role:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in ER with exposure to multi-site responsibilities a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to provide on-site support.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is preferred.
