Reporting to the Operations Manager for the Southern Water Contract, you will lead a team of multi-skilled Field Managers, Supervisors and Field Staff in the delivery of waste-water operational response in a dynamic environment.
Job Details
- Location: Goddards Green (West Sussex)
- Job Type: permanent, full-time
- Hours: Monday - Friday (45 hours)
- Salary: £44,000 per annum, depending upon experience plus on call
- Benefits: 24 plus holiday (plus bank holidays); health cash plan; onsite parking; auto enrolment pension scheme; friendly working environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll be in charge of the field managers and administrators as well as the fleet compliance employee within the region. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing payroll submissions and rota management regarding absence.
- Monitoring and working with senior managers to oversee HR related issues including investigations, performance related issues and absence.
- Budget management / Spend.
- Ensuring engineers' courses and certifications are compliant.
- Overseeing equipment supplies.
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed.
- Reviewing workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met.
- Supporting all functions for teamwork.
- Evaluating employee performance.
- Capturing Toolbox Talks monthly.
- Conducting one-to-ones.
- Carrying out pay rises / PDRs.
- Identifying skill gaps and providing appropriate training for the team.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety.
- Championing key working relationships with our clients.
- Ensuring all equipment for new starters are in place and monitoring.
- Signing off any required paperwork to timelines.
About You
- Supervisory or management experience of 5 years.
- Comfortable with Microsoft 365.
- Previous background of working with compliance, processes and health and safety regulations.
- Comfortable working in operational roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
