About the role:
Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will be focused on the delivery of all site activity through subcontractor management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project in its entirety and must be competent in managing six aspects of this project: scope, schedule, cost versus revenue, risk, quality, and resources.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all planned Safety Audits and Inspections are completed in accordance with the approved programme.
- Ensure staffing levels meet the needs of the project, checking peaks and troughs in workloads, holidays, and absence levels.
- Undertake the day-to-day management, coordination, and supervision of the team.
- Review performance in operations, customer, and safety, and carry out any toolbox talks, task briefs, and Safety Alert briefs.
- Assist and support the senior leadership team in ensuring contract compliance with statutory legislation, Company Standards, processes, and procedures.
- Resolve problems and implement improvements.
- Manage training requirements/needs.
- Develop a construction schedule, with project deliverables and milestones.
- Keep inventory of tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Address any HR-related issues and holidays.
- Interact with customers and clients.
- Manage resources such as construction materials, construction workers, and equipment.
- Allocate and manage resource logistics.
- Oversee the performance of the subcontractor.
About you:
Management Skills: The ability to supervise and lead a delivery team.
Systems: Competent in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Health, Safety & Environment: The ability to assess the impact our operations have on Health & Safety matters. Thorough knowledge of H & S policies/procedures and safe systems of work.
Operational Understanding: Comprehensive experience, understanding, and qualifications/accreditations in accordance with the role being undertaken to deliver contractual commitments, operational, and safety requirements.
Certification/Training Required:
- Street Works
- IOSH (desired)
- Confined spaces
- Any other management or health and safety qualifications is preferred.
