About the Role:
As part of the Severn Trent Waste Water contract focused on improving Proactive CCTV/ Cleanse, your responsibility will be to oversee Proactive operations, manage and coordinate on-site activities to ensure the project is completed safely and within the specified timeline. You will also be accountable for monitoring performance to ensure it aligns with established productivity standards, quality expectations, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Hours of work: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 07.30am-16.00pm)
Base location: Stafford
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team to deliver all aspects of planning and operations.
- Deliver works safely and on time, whilst adhering to contract requirements.
- Management of the operatives reporting into them.
- Conduct detailed and thorough site visits.
- Maintain accurate records of site resources, materials and plant and providing daily resource sheets.
- Managing subcontract performance.
- Ensuring all operatives have appropriate vehicles, equipment, stores, and skills to perform allocated work.
- Liaise with customers, clients, local authorities and other interested third parties regarding past, present, and future works.
- Provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessments and coaching to ensure gangs are performing to our sufficient company standards.
- Perform quality on site assessments checks (x8 Audits per month).
- Regularly undertake all necessary and appropriate Toolbox Talks, Briefings, and other communications.
- Perform weekly fleet and plant checks ensuring fleet, plant and equipment maintenance is carried out and calibrated within the correct timescales.
- Maintain own levels of skills and knowledge to do the job effectively.
- Comply with relevant company HSEQ and welfare policy provisions.
- Ensure all clients set KPI's are met or exceeded.
- Ensure all operative training records and ID Cards records are kept up to date.
- Ensure all timesheets are submitted within the timescales set by payroll and checked for accuracy at the time of submission.
- Submit accurate records into the sales sheet for works completed each day, ensuring all information is correct, accurate and within budget.
- Ensure all operatives driving company vehicles adhere to company policy, where necessary interventions to be carried out to coach or take disciplinary action against offenders that is relevant to the offence committed.
- Manage and assess the competencies of all operatives on site through the competency assessment programme.
About you:
- Previous drainage experience (Desirable)
- Proven experience in a supervisor role
- Have a full valid driving licence
- Ability to manage a budget.
- Computer literate.
- Must have an understanding of site investigations and instructing the teams regarding sewer CCTV and Cleansing work.
- Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively, particularly to external parties such as the client, their customers, and local authorities.
- Must have the skills and confidence to supervise and coordinate site requirements and tasks.

Desirable Technical Competencies:
- Safety Management training.
- Understanding health and safety legislation.
- Hold recognised supervisory or leadership in management course or equivalent in experience.
- IOSH managing safely.
- Experience in CCTV and Cleansing of sewers.
