OverviewWe\’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee CCTV Drainage Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in drainage surveying with full training provided. You\’ll work alongside experienced engineers to carry out CCTV surveys, assess conditions, identify defects, and support maintenance and repair strategies.
As a CCTV Drainage Engineer, You Will
Assist in operating CCTV equipment to inspect foul and surface water drainage systems
Work in line with standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
Receive training to use industry‐standard software (e.g. WinCan) for reports and condition assessments
Support in identifying drainage issues such as blockages, structural defects, infiltration, and root ingress
Work under the guidance of senior engineers to understand survey requirements and data collection methods
Help maintain and check equipment to ensure readiness for daily operations
Be trained in confined space entry procedures and work safely as part of a team (training and certification provided)
Assist in emergency response situations where drainage issues or flooding occur
Learn how to complete job sheets, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) with supervision
About You
Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points)
A strong interest in drainage, utilities, or civil engineering
A practical, hands‐on approach and willingness to work outdoors in all conditions
Good communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer skills and a desire to learn new software
