We are looking for a capable Field Manager to lead a team of multi‑skilled waste network service engineers in delivering both reactive and scheduled work around the clock in a dynamic environment. This role supports our commitment to health, safety, operational excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.

Position Details

  • Location: Camberley Treatment Works, Camberley, Surrey
  • Job Type: Permanent, Full‑time
  • Hours: Monday‑Friday, 40 hours + on‑call rota (start times to be discussed)
  • Salary: £34,000 – £38,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Benefits: 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays), health cash plan, free on‑site parking, auto enrolment pension scheme, friendly working environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site inspections
  • Coordinate field engineers
  • Manage fleet issues
  • Evaluate employee performance
  • Liaise with office planners / team leaders
  • Conduct one‑to‑one meetings
  • Track vehicle utilisation
  • Ensure resource availability
  • Assist the client with high‑profile jobs
  • Monitor engineers’ performances
  • Handle HR disciplinary processes, interviews and pathway reviews
  • Support the wellbeing of field staff
  • Adhere to Lanes Group policies and responsibilities
  • Perform other reasonable ad‑hoc duties as requested by senior leadership

About You

  • Hard‑working, respectful, and compliant with health and safety standards
  • Previous management and leadership experience is essential
  • Full UK driver’s licence
  • Knowledge of the utilities sector, especially drainage and wastewater, is an advantage
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and build working relationships
