CCTV Drainage Engineer Nights
Location: Crawley Depot, West Sussex
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 50 hours Nights
Salary: £42,000 per annum (basic pay, overtime, on call allowance and bonuses)

About the Role
Due to continued growth and development, we are looking for customer focused people to join our Utility Division, working on our Southern Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste‑water network and drainage problems.
The role is based at Crawley Depot, West Sussex, and is a 24/7, night‑shift position requiring flexibility, weekends and participation in an on‑call rota. Full training, PPE, and company equipment will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Travel to residential sites in a two‑person crew in one of our custom‑equipped fleet of high‑tech vans.
- Survey the network of drainage systems.
- Assess pipe conditions to produce high‑quality reports with state‑of‑the‑art drain surveying equipment.
- Ensure jobs attended are completed.
- Troubleshoot any problems that arise on the job.
- Liaise with the team of Technical Specialists for access and equipment issues.
- Ensure safe site set‑up and maintain H&S practice while carrying out works.
- Update the job notes on VISTEC.
- Take photos of the set‑up, inspection chamber and whole site.
- Deliver good customer service.
- Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.
- Perform any other reasonable ad‑hoc duties, tasks or projects as requested by management.
About you
The ideal candidate will be hard‑working, respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of OS19X equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
