About The Role
Sapphire Utility Solutions is looking for a Senior Commercial Analyst for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to work in the Commercial department, supporting the Operations Team and Senior Quantity Surveyors. The role will be based in Bamber Bridge, Preston, with the option of hybrid working.
- Location: Bamber Bridge, Preston
- Hours of Work: Full time – 40 hours (Monday to Friday)
- Salary: Up to £28,500 – depending on experience
- Contract: 12‑Month Fixed Term Contract
Responsibilities
- Support Operational team in all daily commercial aspects.
- Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost to allow prompt issue of Application for payment/invoice in line with contractual timescales.
- Assess subcontractor AFPs, make accruals and raise Pos.
- Raise CE’s / variations with clients.
- Facilitate production of cost reporting.
- Cost reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Use various Commercial and Finance systems.
- Accept extra duties as situations arise.
Experience
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel.
- Strong desire to maintain client relationships whilst not compromising contractual entitlement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage own time and work to business priorities and deadlines.
- Forward‑thinking and keen to develop smarter delivery of work.
- Commercially and financially aware.
- Experience in a commercial department would be advantageous.
