We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network for the next five years and beyond! We are currently recruiting for a Frame & Covers / Ironworks Operative to join our team in Yorkshire, where you will be working in a team of highly skilled Operatives to carry out the replacement of manhole frames and covers efficiently throughout the Bradford area. About The Role
- Location: Bradford, Yorkshire.
- Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am‑5pm with a paid lunch). Overtime available at time and a half.
- Salary: To be discussed.
Responsibilities
- Replace manhole frames and covers efficiently; excavate by hand and replace gullies with precision and care.
- Complete all types of reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.).
- Carry out site‑specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team members and the site supervisor.
- Ensure on‑site and off‑site conditions are live to avoid any penalties with highways permits.
- Update and complete site documentation using an electronic tablet.
- Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks.
- Record photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed.
- Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment.
- Ensure highway compliance with reinstatement to avoid defects.
- Be able to read and understand drainage plans.

Experience and Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence (Required).
- Training: NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, Slinger & Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, Calm Water, EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny, EUSR Water, Face Fit Tested – FFP3.
