Responsibilities
- Maintain great customer service and communication
- Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
- Update and complete site documentation using electronic tablet
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work
- Carry out site‑specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team members and site supervisor
- Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
- Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks
- Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE); bring any defects or shortcomings to supervisor’s attention
- Safely operate HGV vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver concrete, aggregates, and other materials to various locations in a timely manner
- Load and unload materials as required, using appropriate equipment
- Plan efficient routes for deliveries and ensure punctual service
- Communicate effectively with line management and team members to coordinate deliveries efficiently
Experience and Qualifications (Desirable but not essential unless stated as required)
- Full UK driving license, Class 2 license, CPCS Lorry‑Loader (Required)
- Up to date driver CPC and Digi Tacho (Required)
- NPORS Banksman
- Manual Handling
- Emergency First Aid
- NRSWA
- EUSR National Water Hygiene
- Asbestos Awareness
- CPC Driver Training (HGV only)
