Assistant Accountant

Ready to make your mark? Lanes Group, backed by Private Equity giant BlackRock, is looking for an Assistant Accountant who knows they’re ready for more. This is a role where you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations—supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating across departments to deliver insightful reporting.

Now let’s talk about what you’ll do:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Accruals, prepayments across all business departments
  • Assist in cost tracking
  • Maintain financial records and ensure data accuracy
  • Reconcile accounts and assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial data
  • Support compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Assist with audit preparation and external reporting requirements

What you’ll bring:

  • Studying towards, or attained, AAT accreditation.
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.

Salary: Up to ÂŁ34,000
