About the Role
We are looking for HGV Class 1 or Class 2 drivers to work full time on our waste water contract. Driving a vacuum tanker, the work incorporates tankering various non-hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the regions. You will be provided with a phone and an app to outline the jobs that have been assigned to you by the Operations Supervisor. Due to the nature of the role, you must have a full HGV Class 1 or Class 2 UK driver’s licence with CPC and an up-to-date digital tachograph card.
Salary: £20.40 per hour
Hours: 4 nights on 4 nights off, 6pm - 6am, 40.25 hours averaged over an 8 week period
Location: Goddards Green
Holidays: 21 days including bank holidays
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV-mounted vacuum and tankers for drainage and waste management tasks.
- Independently manage job sites, ensuring safe practices and high-quality work.
- Communicate professionally with customers.
- Accurately complete job reports and system updates.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting any faults promptly.
- Maintain high health and safety standards, including proper PPE use and regulatory compliance.
Experience and Qualifications
- HGV class 1 or class 2 driving licence.
- Valid in date CPC and up-to-date digital tachograph card.
