Responsibilities
- Engage with clients, maintain strong relationships, and ensure contractor accountability.
- Assist recruitment efforts by assessing prospects and assigning optimal locations.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and recommend improvements in collaboration with the Health & Safety team.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of operatives, line managers, transport leads, and technical specialists.
- Liaise with the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team to ensure compliance with regulations and environmental standards.
- Manage the P&L, meet and exceed KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate with planning functions to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with clients to promote contractor engagement and operational excellence.
- Carry out ad hoc tasks requested by the Head of Operations to meet operational needs.
Qualifications
- Full UK Driver's Licence
- Strong managerial and leadership experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship‐building, and networking skills.
- Experience managing confidential and sensitive information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Senior managerial experience within a drainage or utilities business (desirable).
- Proficiency in IOS software and a good understanding of sewer flooding and pollution activities (desirable).
- Ability to prioritise workload and maintain high organisational standards.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
