As a Civils Team Leader, you will be working to meet the needs of the client's SLA's in the most productive and cost-effective manner. You will be helping to provide technical expertise, experience, and work within a team to deliver a first-class service to our customers. You will be able to engineer solutions on site and focus your teams on completing work correctly, first time. You will work with the scheduling team ensuring programmes are managed and delivered accordingly. You will provide support to ensure that the company's work is effectively completed through communication with internal and external customers, as well as managing business and client database systems.

You will have operational responsibility for the civils teams and their in-day activities. Organise labour in the most cost-effective way, including recruitment, disciplinary action, wages, and absence management. Manage all other resources e.g., sub-contractors, materials, and plant. Assist with carrying out team briefings on a monthly basis. Assist in coaching and developing staff to reach their potential and ensure a fair and consistent culture within the teams. Help to assist the defect programme, ensuring KPIs are met and client and council meetings are attended. Assist in carrying out documented audits, checking the quality of work and coaching teams/individuals to ensure the right behaviours are always exhibited. Liaise with the Support Services and Streetworks Team to ensure that FPN and Section 74 liabilities are managed. You will assist the civils manager by acting as a Health & Safety Representative, including undertaking inspections, raising safety matters with management, and investigating accidents or incidents as required. Cover all aspects of civils works.
