Lane7 is the UK's fastest growing and biggest independent boutique bowling destination. We have multiple venues across our Lane7, Level X, Gutterball and ML7 brands. Bowling has always been our thing - since launch in 2013, but really, we're all your best nights in one: Pool, golf, darts, karaoke, arcades and a ton of next-level gaming experiences, combined with great drinks and fabulous food. The Role
We are looking for a leader of the bar, you will own the space, drive performance and take accountability and ownership for its success. You will work side by side with your teams at peak shifts, leading from the front, this is no admin role, this is hands on leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock & Ordering: Your stock holding will be super important in this role, you need to be in the detail and really know your numbers here. Par levels will be key when placing orders, managing waste and conducting your weekly/monthly MOS. The leaner the stock holding, the slicker the result!
- Team Management: Recruit, train & motivate the best-in-class bar team. All team members must be held to account on their specs and service standards whilst having fun behind those bars. Regular feedback is key and you will be a key player in coaching and training the team throughout the venue.
- Financials: Driving sales, identifying trade patterns and highlighting current trends. Managing budgets will be key to this role both when it comes to ordering and the management of your labour spend. Get this right and the rest falls into place. Managing your stock and ensuring we are delivering within our theoretical GP target.
- Compliance: Complete Weekly and Monthly audits, ensure you are all over standards and hold the team accountable. Daily opening and closedown checklist need to be followed, with weekly cleaning tasks being logged and carried out. Must ensure all licensing laws, health & safety regulations and age restrictive policies are adhered to.
To be a success with Lane7, you'll:
- Have Bar management experience in the leisure, hospitality, or F&B sector
- Have experience in stock control, working to budget GP targets, weekly/monthly stock counting
- Have experience in recruiting, onboarding and training new bar team.
- Be a great communicator
- Have a positive, can-do and problem-solving attitude no matter the task that faces you.
- Have the ability to create a sense of fun, for you, the guests and the team.
