We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Health & Safety Officer to support with the maintaining of H&S standards across a diverse multi‑site leisure and hospitality estate – currently 26 venues across the UK, with one in Germany and two in the Republic of Ireland.
The Role
The Health & Safety Officer will be responsible for supporting, developing, and maintaining health & safety standards across all Lane7 brands. This is a hands‑on role, working closely with venue teams to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and embed a strong safety culture across the business. This is not a Monday – Friday role, we are a 7 day operation so you will be required to also work weekends.
- Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all venues comply with current UK health & safety legislation and company policies
- Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Review and update risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
- Support accident, incident, and near‑miss investigations, ensuring appropriate follow‑up actions
- Training & Engagement
- Deliver health & safety training to site teams, including inductions and refresher training
- Support managers in understanding and fulfilling their H&S responsibilities
- Promote a positive, practical health & safety culture across the business
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate H&S records, reports, and action plans
- Monitor trends in accidents and incidents and provide recommendations for improvement
- Support external audits and inspections where required
- Operational Support
- Work closely with Operations and Facilities teams on new site openings, refurbishments, and equipment installations
- Provide guidance on food safety, fire safety, manual handling, COSHH, and contractor management
- Act as a point of contact for health & safety queries from site teams
To be a success with Lane7, you’ll:
- Have NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Have proven experience in a health & safety role, ideally within hospitality, leisure, or retail.
- Have strong working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
- Be confident communicator, able to engage teams at all levels
- Be willing to travel regularly to multiple sites across the country and also when needed into Europe
- Have experience in a multi‑site environment
- Have Fire safety or food safety qualification (Desirable)
- Have Experience supporting new site openings (Desirable)
