As a Trainee Pensions Administrator at LCP you will assist the pensions administration team with calculation, client communication, database upkeep and reporting. With experience you will take on greater responsibility and ownership of client work.

Responsibilities

  • Produce calculations of member benefits using pro forma or automated routine.
  • Prepare explanatory standard letters to members, clients and advisers.
  • Maintain client database and website (when appropriate) and update member records accurately.
  • Input information into data files for bulk updates or reports, and conduct simple verification to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in keeping records organised.
  • Prepare letters and respond to general enquiries using standard templates or non‑standard responses.
  • Communicate with scheme members and clients, handling telephone enquiries on a day‑to‑day basis.

Qualifications

  • Education at A‑level, degree or equivalent.
  • Previous office experience desirable; pensions experience not essential.
  • Willingness to study for professional exams.
  • Excellent organisational and attention‑to‑detail skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, manage multiple tasks and fluctuating workloads.
  • High standard of professionalism and flexibility of hours worked.
