Our multidisciplinary team brings together scientists, clinicians, statisticians, epidemiologists, health economists, strategy consultants, and health data scientists alongside our established actuarial, analytics, and technology specialists to develop innovative solutions addressing fundamental healthcare challenges. Our mission is to transform health systems from being importers of illness to exporters of health, and to support our clients to deliver value to patients. We have already established a reputation for excellence in market access strategy, real‑world evidence generation, and health economic modelling and aim to further build on this foundation by expanding our capabilities and skills of the team.

What do we do? LCP’s Health Analytics team works across the healthcare and life sciences markets, combining health expertise with innovative approaches to tackle leading health issues and address knowledge gaps for our clients. Our main areas of work include:

  • Real‑world evidence studies: Including characterising patient populations, identifying burden of disease and unmet need, and assessing treatment outcomes using electronic healthcare records, registries, biobanks, and comprehensive health databases.
  • Health economic modelling: Creating robust, evidence‑based economic evaluations to inform healthcare decision‑making.
  • Evidence synthesis and statistics: Conducting systematic literature reviews and meta‑analyses to summarise existing research comprehensively and objectively. Analysing data from clinical trials and real‑world sources using a range of statistical methods.
  • Market access consulting: Supporting clients with health technology assessment submissions and broader market access strategies, including qualitative payer market research, payer evidence gap analyses and payer rationalised clinical trial design/planning.
  • Value communications: Helping clients develop training and communication tools tailored to the needs of the end audience (payers, patients, healthcare professionals and policymakers) in order to optimally convey product value.

What will you be doing? Your role may involve working directly with real‑world healthcare data, designing and executing analyses, contributing to health economic models, supporting the development of manuscripts and other medical‑writing activities or supporting strategic consulting engagements to provide valuable insights for our clients and other stakeholders. You will receive comprehensive initial training to ensure you fully understand the work we do and develop/enhance skills to support delivery of projects.

What skills, qualities and experience are we looking for? A minimum 2:1 degree in a numerate or scientific subject or Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent). A science/ health‑related Masters degree (MSc, MRes, MPH etc.) or PhD (e.g. in a Life Sciences Subject, Statistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Data Science, Health Economics, Bioinformatics, Medicine) is desirable. Experience in the healthcare and/or life sciences industry, especially in qualitative and/or quantitative research with exposure to and an interest in healthcare market access, pricing and reimbursement, is desirable. You should have a strong grounding in scientific research principles, including the ability to generate hypotheses, gather insights through literature review/desk research and synthesise your findings into carefully crafted reports that address specific research questions. You should consider this internship as a potential stepping stone into a career at LCP, and as such we are looking for individuals who are thinking about longer‑term opportunities at LCP after the internship. The internship selection process is highly competitive; we will consider only applicants who have relevant experience.
