We are looking for a practice trained Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a new role due to the continued growth of LCP. Our growth in number of locations, businesses, products and size by both organic and acquisition has meant increasing complexity of our business structure and reporting requirements. You will be working alongside a high performing Finance team with several qualified accountants, as well as subject matter experts and trainees. You will be organised, producing work to a high standard, able to work independently and articulate explanations to management and team members.
What will you be doing?
- Evolving and developing our year end consolidation process for our increasingly complex corporate structure
- Evolving monthly/quarterly consolidation of management accounts for use at ExCo and Board
- Partnership accounting - dependent on experience, input and review of drawings, current account statements, profit distribution and tax retention and POA regime
- Corporate member reporting development
- Investment accounting, including amortization of goodwill and impairment/re-valuation calculation
- Tax compliance: dependent on experience there are a number of potential areas for involvement:
- Partnership tax analysis and return
- VAT compliance
- PSA rules and analysis
- International tax liabilities
- Development of international tax reporting framework
- International year end tax returns
- Involvement in take on of acquisitions
What skills, qualities and experience are we looking for?
- You would have likely qualified in practice and had experience auditing LLPs
- Strong attention to detail
- Logical structure to how you present your work
- Ability to produce concise easy to follow process notes
- Wide understanding and experience producing Financial Accounts in a complex LLP / corporate structure
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA etc)
- Experience in Professional Services and ideally LLP specifically
- Specialisation in Financial Accounts preparation
- Able to produce work that is well laid out and with a methodology that is easy to follow, thus allowing our "do, check review" process
