LCP Delta are looking for a Model Developer to join our fast-growing team of in-house model developers and play a key role in our growth by working across all areas of our code, which is based on a C# backend. The role will involve developing new and existing models using our custom-built framework. Due to the bespoke and integrated nature of our solutions, candidates should be proficient object-oriented programmers.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing new and maintaining existing models used by our energy modelling team on client projects or used directly by clients.
  • Working with non-IT technical users to understand requirements and business objectives, identifying problems and providing solutions in a timely manner.
  • Being a competent, active, engaged and willing member of the Development Team.
  • Keeping up to date with developments and changes in the field of IT development as well as the tools and techniques used.

What skills, experience and qualities are we looking for?

  • An excellent understanding of C# programming.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Visual Studio.
  • Experience in using Microsoft technical stack and Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure (including technologies such as Cosmos DB, Azure Batch, etc.) would be beneficial but not required.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively within a team, have an enthusiasm for providing an excellent user experience and eager to learn new skills on the job.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to discuss technical matters in non-technical language.
  • Educated to degree level with either a mathematical or computer based degree.
  • Clear and logical thinking, along with the ability to provide concrete examples of work, is essential.
  • An understanding of mathematical modelling is advantageous but not essential.
