Our Data Services team is rapidly expanding, as we increase our offering to clients, particularly in the de-risking space. The team work closely with expertise in other areas of LCP’s business and utilise our advanced technology to deliver solutions to our clients. To facilitate this growth, we are recruiting individuals with a knowledge of Defined Benefit pensions for client facing, technical roles to bolster our existing team.
We are seeking actuaries who are enthusiastic about working on dynamic and fast-paced projects, utilising your technical expertise to create and execute solutions, as well as providing advisory services to our clients.
What will you be doing?
You will be involved in a wide variety of strategic data projects, including:
- Preparing data for endgame strategies such as buy-ins, buy-outs and wind-ups
- Leading complex benefit rectification projects, such as GMP rectification and Barber window exercises
- Undertaking data cleanse projects for schemes, including benefit tranching and legacy scheme reconstruction
- Reviewing data to support member communication exercises or benefit changes
- Advising clients on data risks and supporting the development of scheme-level data strategies
- You’ll work with clients from across the market, including those administered outside of LCP who seek our expertise for discrete data-driven projects
- You’ll collaborate closely with LCP’s actuarial, administration and pension risk transfer teams, while also helping shape internal project methodologies and developing the next generation of tools and approaches
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- Excellent knowledge of DB pension schemes, with a Pensions Actuarial background (you may have qualified as an actuary or stopped studying for the exams)
- Demonstrable experience within a consultancy environment
- Ability to create bulk solutions to undertaken complex pension scheme calculations
- Able to prioritise workloads with conflicting importance, keeping to deadlines, agreed service levels and disclosure requirements
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
- Keenness to take an active role to guarantee client satisfaction for the duration of projects and have a readiness to foster new relationships
- Able to work within agreed budgets and scopes
