What\’s the role?
We have an exciting opportunity to join ourCovenant & Financial Analysis team.You’ll support our continued growth in our core market (defined benefit (“DB”) pensions) while also contributing to our diversification strategy into fast-growing areas such as the energy transition and sports advisory.

What will you be doing?
As a Financial Analyst, you’ll be part of our Covenant & Financial Analysis team and you’ll work on a wide range of projects, including:
- Supporting DB pension schemes by assessing and giving opinions on the financial strength of sponsoring employers
- Analysing company accounts, forecasts and wider market data to support advice
- Assessing and commenting on company sustainability strategies
- Communicating the financial story of a company clearly and visually to clients and colleagues
- Working with colleagues across LCP to provide financial input into broader consultancy projects
- Supporting our energy transition research with analysis on financial trends of key players in the sector
- Contributing to the development of internal tools, marketing material and new business proposals
As an analyst, you will focus on data collection and analysis, supporting your colleagues in delivering strategic and commercial advice to clients. There is a huge opportunity to develop your consulting skills with a view to be delivering advice directly to clients.
You will be trained and supported in building your knowledge of DB pensions regulation and guidance, which plays a key role in shaping our advice, and have ongoing access to technical and non-technical training.
What skills, qualities, qualifications and experience are we looking for?
- A degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related subject, or a relevant professional accounting or finance qualification
- Some experience (ideally at least one year) working in a financial analysis role
- Excellent analytical skills, with a strong understanding of financial accounts and data
- Clear communication skills – both written and verbal
- A team player who enjoys working with others to solve complex problems
- Confidence to suggest new ways of working and explore innovative ideas
- Excellent MS Office skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
- An openness to using new technologies (such as AI tools) to enhance team efficiency and impact
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- An ability to work across multiple sectors and adapt quickly
- A genuine interest in finance is essential; knowledge or interest in DB pensions or the energy transition is a plus but not essential as full training will be given
- A commitment to delivering high quality work to clients and developing your career at LCP
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to undertake and complete a work related task for submission. Selected candidates will then have a 1st interview on Teams and a 2nd interview will be in person at our London office
