We are looking for a Bids Artworker to join our team on a 9 months fixed term contract, 3 days a week basis (to include Monday and Friday). You will help win business and retain and grow it by managing high profile and complex tenders. The role will work closely alongside the other members of the bid team, our business development colleagues, and partners.

We are looking for:

  • A creative designer who thrives on the challenges of designing tenders and works collaboratively in the pursuit of winning, understanding the difference good design can make to the delivery of a message, and can create images and visual ideas that deliver complex messages with fewer words.
  • Someone who can deliver and develop creative concepts and ideas when timescales allow, but can also work under time pressure when needed.
  • A skilled communicator who can liaise with internal clients to understand their design needs and implement their requirements to time and budget.
  • An innovator that brings, and is willing to drive, new ideas, and support our improvement programme across work winning.
  • A strong relationship builder who has gravitas when engaging at all levels both internally and externally.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Day to day ownership of bid design tasks, allocated by the Bid Design Manager, working within the LCP Bid Process to agreed defined timelines.
  • Complete bid design tasks to assist in providing a bespoke design service for all tenders whilst maintaining the integrity of the LCP brand.
  • Working with the Bid Design Manager, in collaboration with the bid manager, to ensure any design is representative of the win strategies and themes, scheduling concept reviews into the creative delivery of the tender documents and pitch materials.
  • Maintain an efficient design process that allows collaboration and innovation.
  • Complete bid design tasks, working in collaboration with the pitch teams to deliver succinct, compelling and engaging pitch materials to prospects and existing clients.
  • Work with subject matter experts to turn written, numerical and existing content into compelling graphical representations.
  • Support to the improvement programme in winning work and promote best bidding practice across LCP and beyond.
  • Assist in the building and maintaining of a strong library of graphics, photos, icons and other visual material.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the client development team with work winning presentations and documentation.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the design team including LCP's marketing materials and collateral we produce for LCP's clients on their behalf.

What skills, qualities and experience are we looking for?

  • A Designer with demonstrable experience, preferably within B2B professional or financial services, with experience on tenders.
  • Track record of working on winning design processes resulting in measurable commercial success.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop), Microsoft Office suite (for design purposes).
  • Creative and capable of producing professional, impactful visual designs within brand guidelines for sales and marketing purposes.
  • Confident and credible in working as part of a larger design team to help concept design development workshops.
  • Excellent time management skills – prioritising, organising workload and planning.
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and also independently.
  • An understanding of professional services – in particular financial, actuarial, consulting, investment and insurance markets would be valuable.
