As a Contracts Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our contracts are delivered smoothly, safely, and to the highest standards. You’ll work closely with both the management team and operational staff to maintain the quality our clients expect, while helping us build lasting relationships through honest communication and reliable service. Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Oversight: Manage and coordinate daily operations across multiple maintenance, landscaping, and arboricultural contracts. Ensure all works meet agreed standards, timeframes, and budgets. Conduct regular site visits and quality checks to ensure a consistent standard of work. Lead, support, and motivate supervisors and site teams. Promote a positive and respectful working culture aligned with our family values. Help with recruitment, training, and development of staff, taking a personal approach to helping people grow.
- Client Relationships: Build trusted, long‑term relationships with our clients. Be the key point of contact for contract delivery, updates, and queries. Respond quickly and effectively to any client concerns or requests. Monitor budgets and resource allocation to ensure contracts remain profitable. Identify additional work opportunities and assist in quoting or tendering as required with set KPIs. Maintain clear records of costs, schedules, and materials.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all work is delivered safely and in line with health and safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments and ensure teams follow correct procedures. Foster a safety‑first culture on all sites.
About You:
- Experienced in managing contracts within the grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticultural sector.
- Confident in leading small teams and building strong working relationships.
- Down‑to‑earth, approachable, and committed to delivering a high standard of work.
- Commercially aware with an understanding of budgets and operational efficiency.
- Comfortable being hands‑on and getting stuck in when needed.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence required.
