**LOCATION** This role is based at Piccadilly Circus. Flexible, event-led schedule including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays depending on venue activity.

**THE ROLE** The Venue & Operations Manager is responsible for the operational leadership and day-to-day management of The Venue at Piccadilly Lights, ensuring the space operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards at all times. The role oversees venue operations, logistics, brand and client coordination, operational planning for events and activations, ensuring the venue is fully prepared to deliver premium brand experiences in one of London’s most visible locations. Salary: Competitive.

**PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES**

  • Venue Operations
    • Lead the day-to-day operational management and readiness of The Venue at Piccadilly Lights.
    • Ensure the venue is operationally ready at all times, including opening, closing, and daily operational checks.
    • Maintain the venue to exceptional presentation, technical, and safety standards.
    • Manage venue schedules, operational planning, and event readiness.
    • Oversee venue access, deliveries, contractor access, and production load-ins.
    • Coordinate operational activity across security, cleaning, technical, and production suppliers.
    • Act as Duty Manager during events and high-profile activations.
    • Ensure smooth operational delivery across front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance venue efficiency and operational delivery.
  • Operational Planning & Logistics
    • Lead operational planning for all events and activations hosted at the venue.
    • Develop and manage operational timelines, run sheets, and venue schedules.
    • Coordinate production schedules including load-in, rehearsals, event delivery, and load-out with clients.
    • Manage venue capacity, and operational layouts.
    • Work closely with production teams and Landsec partners to ensure technical and operational readiness.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation, fire safety, licensing, and local authority requirements in partnership with the Landsec Health & Safety team.
    • Review, approve, and enforce event risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
    • Ensure fire exits, crowd management plans, and emergency procedures are adhered to at all times.
    • Maintain incident reports, operational audits, and compliance documentation.
    • Promote a culture of safety and compliance across all venue activity.
  • Supplier & Partner Management
    • Manage relationships with approved venue suppliers including catering, AV, security, cleaning, and production partners.
    • Ensure suppliers operate in line with venue procedures, safety requirements, and operational standards.
    • Coordinate supplier access, deliveries, and operational logistics.
    • Monitor supplier performance to ensure consistent delivery of high operational standards.
  • Client & Event Delivery
    • Act as the lead operational contact on-site for clients, agencies, rights holders, and production teams.
    • Lead operational briefings and venue walkthroughs with clients and suppliers.
    • Oversee the operational delivery of brand activations, product launches, screenings, press events, and broadcast productions.
    • Ensure operational requirements and event delivery expectations are met to the highest standards.
    • Proactively resolve operational challenges in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
  • Commercial & Financial Oversight
    • Support budgeting and cost control for venue operations.
    • Monitor supplier costs and spend.
    • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and revenue generation.
    • Work closely with internal commercial, sales, and marketing teams to support venue bookings and activations.
  • Stakeholder & Brand Representation
    • Act as an ambassador for The Venue at Piccadilly Lights.
    • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders from global brands, agencies, broadcasters, production partners, and venue stakeholders.
    • Support client site visits, pitches, showcases, and demonstrations.
    • Contribute to the continued development of the venue as a destination for premium brand activations and live events.

**WORKING HOURS** Flexible, event-led schedule including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays depending on venue activity.

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA** Proven experience as a Venue Manager, Operations Manager, or Event Operations Manager. Experience managing live events and operational delivery in a venue environment. Strong organisational and operational planning skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments. Confident communicator with a calm and authoritative presence. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
