The Team Performance and Planning are a small but key team within Data and Technology, responsible for financial management, change governance, resourcing, and effective vendor, risk, and audit management. It’s vital that our team have people with the right skills, experience, and capability to successfully add value to the Data and Technology team and across the organisation.
The role:
- Manage third party service provision across Data and Technology services to ensure service availability, high performance, and process maturity across this landscape.
- Track vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs, pricing models and other contractual commitments.
- Ensure vendors are managed appropriately in-line with their classification, and support periodic vendor service reviews.
- Key contributor to service renewals and budgeting processes.
- Identify and implement both improvements to processes, and opportunities to reduce our cost base and increase value add.
- Key contributor to risk and audit processes.
- Close collaboration required with Data and Technology service owners, as well as stakeholders from the finance, procurement, risk, audit, business unit teams and external vendors.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Maximise the service portfolio for value and quality during the lifecycle of the service.
- Monitor performance of strategic partners and ensure SLAs are met.
- In partnership with Procurement, establish and maintain central supplier performance framework and reporting to maximise effectiveness.
- Ensure service renewals are actioned in a timely manner.
- In partnership with Finance and budget owners, oversee vendor costs.
- Contribute directly to the development and quality of Vendor and Service Management.
- Partner with Procurement and Vendor Owners on process development, roadmaps, and strategic direction, with the aim of increasing maturity in all areas.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, in partnership with budget owners and finance, adhering to Group deadlines.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience of effective Vendor Management; ensuring third parties deliver high quality services/products and are managed appropriately.
- Experience of building and embedding Vendor Management frameworks and policies.
- Experience of delivering operational and service improvements.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail, understanding current state and acting where required to course correct.
- Understanding of SLAs, OLAs, service availability.
- Proven experience at building relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Experience of procurement management.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, ability to manage conflicting demands and ensure deadlines are met.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to find pragmatic solutions to complex business challenges.
- Excellent communicator, articulate, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed.
- Technology organisation budget planning and financial management experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
