The Role:

This position is responsible for supporting the delivery of the St David’s Cardiff annual marketing strategy through media, social media, PR, events /promotions that drive fame, footfall & digital growth. In addition, the role will work as part of a project team on centralised multi-site promotions and campaigns across the Landsec portfolio.

Working with the wider central marketing team the marketing manager role be instrumental in unlocking key consumer insight and delivering on core elements of the marketing plan, it will involve hands-on experience of campaigns and tactical events including strong local engagement of brands, cultural partners, BIDs councils and tourism affiliates.

The Team:
Reporting to the National Planning Manager, the role is working as one of a team of marketing managers within the consumer marketing team .
Location:
You will be required to be based on site 3 days a week where you will be embedded within the centre to maximise the opportunity of the day-to-day memorable moments and experiences through effective marketing. Implement agreed processes for asset level branding/creative (e.g. wayfinding, POS, void dressing), digital, PR, events and brand partner promotions.
What you will be responsible for:
Strategy & Campaign Delivery

Contribute to the delivery of the site’s marketing strategy across campaigns, promotions, PR, events, digital and social media.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive impactful storytelling and brand activity.
On-Site Content & Activation
-
Be based in-centre three days a week to capture real-time activity, develop engaging local content and support “moments that matter.”

Implement asset-level branding including signage, POS, digital and brand partner promotions.
Digital, Website & Content Management

Maintain the site website and content calendars, ensuring listings, editorial and promotions reflect the destination’s experience and are up to date.

Liaise with content agencies and digital managers to ensure occupier content aligns with brand standards and service levels.
Insight & Reporting

Monitor consumer behaviour, catchment trends, and metrics such as NPS and brand awareness.

Evaluate marketing activity and contribute insights to central performance reporting and strategic planning.
Retail Engagement & Commercial Support

Work with Retail Managers to promote occupier offers and drive retailer involvement in marketing initiatives.

Brief and support commercial events and brand activations with tailored content and campaign visibility.
PR & External Communications

Coordinate with PR agencies to amplify site-level news, events and openings.

Support creative campaign execution and disruptive moments that generate awareness and brand buzz.
Community & Partnership Building

Establish and nurture partnerships with councils, BIDs, tourist organisations and community groups to enhance local relevance and cross-promotion.
Operational Collaboration

Present marketing updates at weekly operations and monthly asset meetings.

Help deliver centralised multi-site campaigns and support cross-asset planning with national teams.
Internal Support & Coordination

Respond to marketing queries via the shared inbox.

Assist in promoting and aligning initiatives led by Guest Experience, Community and Proposition teams.
