This is a career-defining opportunity to shape the occupier mix, customer experience and commercial success of over 1.5 million sq ft of existing and future workspace across MediaCity and Mayfield. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for leasing strategy, asset performance, customer relationships and workplace propositions across a portfolio that spans established assets, major developments and future growth opportunities. You will play a critical role in attracting the next generation of occupiers across media, creative industries, technology, professional services and innovation sectors.

THE ROLE
The Head of Leasing and Assets is responsible for leading leasing, occupier strategy and asset performance across MediaCity and Mayfield. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the role is accountable for delivering leasing income, occupancy performance and customer retention across existing assets and future developments. The role will lead the leasing and asset management team, ensuring the destinations attract and retain best-in-class occupiers while maximising long-term investment value. The Head of Leasing and Assets will play a key role in shaping the future customer mix across both destinations, supporting MediaCity's continued growth as a creative, media and technology ecosystem and Mayfield's evolution into one of the UK's leading mixed-use neighbourhoods.
Principal Accountabilities
The Head of Leasing and Assets will hold accountability for the following areas:
- Leasing and Strategy Execution
- Develop and deliver leasing strategies across MediaCity and Mayfield.
- Lead all major leasing transactions, including pre-letting activity.
- Create asset-specific leasing plans aligned to wider commercial objectives.
- Ensure leasing activity supports destination positioning and long-term value creation.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer demand to inform decision-making.
- Asset Performance & Value Creation
- Drive occupancy, rental growth and income performance.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies that maximise value.
- Identify opportunities for repositioning, refurbishment and enhanced customer experience.
- Support business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve commercial performance.
- Occupier Relationships & Customer Experience
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key occupiers and prospective customers.
- Lead customer retention and account management strategies.
- Ensure a best-in-class customer experience across the portfolio.
- Use customer insight to inform leasing, proposition and asset strategies.
- Workplace & Proposition Development
- Lead the deployment and optimisation of workplace propositions including Myo, Blank Canvas and Customised solutions.
- Work with Landsec colleagues to ensure best practice and proposition consistency.
- Identify new workplace trends and opportunities that enhance competitiveness.
- Stakeholder & Agent Management
- Lead and manage external leasing agents and advisers.
- Establish clear objectives, priorities and performance expectations.
- Develop productive relationships across the Manchester property market.
- Influence internal stakeholders through data-led recommendations and commercial insight.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing leasing and asset management team.
- Provide direct leadership to Asset Managers and related functions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Support the wider Commercial Leadership Team in delivering MediaCity and Mayfield's strategic objectives.
- Manage and motivate external agents, providing clear direction and prioritisation, and monitoring their performance to ensure alignment with business needs and proposition standards.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, agents, advisors, and internal teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Influence business stakeholders with compelling business recommendations and presentations that are clear, concise, and data-led.
- Represent the Commercial team in projects, committees, and forums, communicating priorities and strategic plans to the wider business.
