Location: This full-time role is based at Braintree Village 3 days a week, with an additional 2 days a month travel to Clarks Village in Somerset.
The Team: The Marketing Manager for Braintree Village and Clarks Village will be part of the Landsec consumer marketing team. The Consumer Marketing team works both centrally across our portfolio and locally within our destinations. As part of the Consumer Marketing team you will work with centre based marketing managers across our portfolio, along with the central team specialising in media, creative, social and CRM. The role will also work closely with the site based management teams at both outlet destinations.
The Role: This position is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Braintree Village and Clarks Village annual marketing strategy through media, social media, PR, events/promotions that drive fame, footfall & digital growth. In addition, the role will work as part of a project team on centralised multi-site promotions and campaigns across the Landsec portfolio. Working with the wider central marketing team the marketing manager role will be instrumental in unlocking key consumer insight and delivering on core elements of the marketing plan, it will involve hands-on experience of campaigns and tactical events including strong local engagement of brands, cultural partners, BIDs councils and tourism affiliates. Lead hands-on marketing across two flagship retail destinations.

Principle Accountabilities:
- Own and deliver the marketing strategy for Braintree Village and Clarks Village, covering campaigns, promotions, social, PR, events and digital activity.
- Be site-based at Braintree Village three days per week, with regular travel to Clarks Village, embedding within each centre to capture and promote memorable, real-time experiences.
- Implement asset-level branding and creative across wayfinding, POS, digital, PR, events and brand partner promotions, in line with agreed processes.
- Use consumer insight, performance data and KPIs (including behaviour, trends, NPS and brand awareness) to evaluate impact and inform planning, reporting into the senior marketing team.
- Work closely with central teams, agencies and Digital Marketing Managers to deliver engaging digital, social and website content, including live activations, openings and events.
- Act as guardian of both websites and PLUS+ content, ensuring listings, offers and editorial are accurate, timely and compelling.
- Lead local PR activity and build strong community partnerships with brands, councils, BIDs, tourism and cultural organisations to drive fame and engagement.
- Support the delivery of media plans, commercial events, brand experiences and promotions, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with H&S requirements.
- Build strong relationships with centre teams and brand partners, supporting forums, meetings and regular communications to maximise retailer involvement.
- Contribute to central, multi-site campaigns and initiatives, collaborating with the wider marketing, guest experience and community teams to ensure alignment with asset priorities.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrable experience in B2C marketing, delivering integrated marketing campaigns, promotions and activations with clear, measurable return on investment (ROI).
- Strong experience in social media management and content creation, including content planning, content curation, real-time content gathering and copywriting across multiple channels.
- Proven experience in event management and experiential marketing, including event ideation, planning, operational delivery, stakeholder coordination and post-event evaluation.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting marketing performance data and consumer insight, including customer behaviour, campaign performance, brand awareness and destination KPIs.
- Highly organised and collaborative professional with proven stakeholder management and business development experience, able to work cross-functionally with internal teams, agencies and third-party partners, and adapt to new technologies and digital platforms.
