The Role: Responsible for the preparation, review, and submission of a large number of corporation tax provisions, computations and returns. This includes REIT compliance submissions to HMRC. The position is 3 days a week in the office.

The Team: You will be a part of a tax team, reporting to Head of Tax, alongside two other tax professionals.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing capital gains calculations, group relief claims and review of capital allowance claims.
  • Preparing corporate interest restriction calculations and the group payment arrangement amounts.
  • Preparation and submission of partnership tax calculations and returns.
  • Obtaining relevant supporting information from the various accounting/other software/finance team members to finalize the tax calculations.
  • Providing a summary of the main tax issues in the tax returns and the corresponding tax treatment.
  • Preparing tax disclosures in statutory accounts and supporting preparation of group tax disclosures.
  • General mixed tax compliance support to the group.

Your skills, experience and qualifications:

Essential criteria

  • Corporation tax compliance experience working on many companies in a group.
  • UK tax real estate background, ideally with good tax technical knowledge of UK REITs.
  • ACCA/ACA/CTA qualified.
  • 1-4 years post qualified with property experience in industry preferable.
  • Experience of using alphatax software.
  • Strong excel skills.
  • Problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills and determination to complete tasks.
